AC/DC BLACK ICE TOUR
Tacoma Dome 11-30-08
This was by far the best part of our weekend and the best show all year. We saw AC/DC Sunday night at the Tacoma Dome from the 7TH ROW! That's right, 7 rows from the stage, so close I could see the sweat dripping off their bodies!
Tom and I dressed up like Angus Young, the guitarist. He wears a school boy outfit (shown above) at every show. He also has a practice of mooning the crowd...no skin, just AC/DC boxers. (Thank goodness they realize no one wants to see a 60 year old butt!) We found our outfits at a second hand store and Julie hemmed the pants into short shorts for us. We had disgusting velvet suit coats to go along with the gross pants....it was AWESOME! Also very handy because you never know when you are going to need a school boy uniform.
Bolt & Brad were with us in our seats up front. Bolt dressed up as Brian Johnson...vocals of the band...really he makes them who they are. This was Bolt's third time seeing AC/DC because they are his #1 band.
Tom invited his little brother Stephen to go, but he had to sit in a different area because we only had 4 seats up front and of course no one was willing to give one up!

Brian & Angus. Yes, we are on a first name basis. Brian was grinning through the ENTIRE show. I guess when you are 60 and making millions doing what you love will put a smile on your face. It was great because everytime you looked at him you couldn't help smiling back.
We have seen a lot of concerts this year and I have seen a lot of concerts in my lifetime...AC/DC was by far the best show yet. They don't have any slow songs and they have tons of hits. This was the first concert we walked out saying, "Man, I wished they would have played...." because they have so many great songs. I would have liked to hear Money Talks & Big Balls, but maybe next time! Tom even said they edged out Metallica who is one of his favorite bands.
So we don't have any pictures of the encore set because we were too distracted by the canons! Next time you listen to 'FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK' listen to Brian scream 'FIRE' and imagine 6 canons blasting over your head while everyone screams 'WE SALUTE YOU'

Seriously, you guys are always doing such awesome stuff! It makes me jealous. I bet they would be such a fun band to go and see!
Kid! i'm Jealous!!! i have hope, if those old guys are still rocking and they are in their 60's. Me being in my 50's still have hope of rocking the house down. More ala Allman Brothers Style!!
I think just going to a concert with you two would be fun!!!
