Welcome to South Salt Lake

So Tom and I got home last night and we were sitting in the car playing our music guessing game. It's our favorite and I was on a roll until "Cum On Feel The Noize" came on and I could not for the life of me remember the band name. I was however listing off other songs they sing because I know the band, just couldn't think of it. (It's Quiet Riot in case you didn't remember either.) Anytime we pull into the driveway we sit there and go through the 6 preset stations on satellite to try guessing. I can usually pull off Buzz Saw and Classic Rock, but Tom gets me on Hair Nation and 80's. We have the best life, have I mentioned that before?

Anyway, I could see a bunch of commotion going on two houses over which is where Chrissy, our escort neighbor, and her boyfriend Nick live with their dad. There were a couple girls sitting on the porch and I remember thinking they were having a party or something. Tom and I finished our game and got out of the car. Our neighbor who lives on the opposite end of our town home came rushing over, walked right past Tom and straight up to me. It was a little weird because she was standing like 6 inches away from me. She is beautiful by the way, but I worry about her a little bit because she is 18, a senior in high school. We have seen her making out with a couple different guys before and she spends a lot of time with Chrissy. Chrissy is nice, but not anyone you want your kids or friends associating with, mainly due to drugs, violence, her being an escort, you know.

So she says to me, "I just thought I'd let you know Chrissy and Nick got arrested tonight and all of Nicks family is over here. We are worried about the baby because she has been breast feeding, and Nicks mom is planning on staying for awhile."
Nick's mom is apparently crazy and into drugs, so it's probably not ok for her to be taking care of a three week old child. His dad works all day trying to run his own company, so there is no way he will be able to take care of the baby all the time. So it's quite the situation.

Here's my opinion on the whole situation. The poor child shouldn't have been brought into this world anyway. Nick and Chrissy don't get a long and most the time during her pregnancy she would come over and tell us about how he beat her up. I've seen her with bruises, black eye, swollen lip, broken toe, etc. This was only while she was pregnant, so I'd hate to see what happens now that he doesn't have to hold back due to a baby in the belly. She sleeps in until 1 or 2 almost every day, so who knows how well she is taking care of him. She has a 3 year old child who she has seen once since she had the new baby. She was arrested due to 4 warrants which consisted of: 1)stealing a woman's credit card 2)assault 3)failure to appear...and I can't remember the 4th reason. Seriously, they are not capable parents nor should they be living in the same area. She is obsessed over him and he can't stand her, he will tell her all the time how much he hates her, but she doesn't leave. So all in all, my neighbors are crazies and I hope the baby gets taken away and sent to a new home. He is adorable, but there is no hope for his future if he stays with his biological parents. So Sad.

My Gosh Kid! Ya gotta love the neighbors huh? We had another fight in the hood with the neighbors down the street and their guests again. Beer bottles being tossed and women screaming again. Dang! it's like my own version of Cops right by my front window. I only needed a bag of Cheetos and a pepsi and I'd feel like I was right in front of the tv! ha ha ha.. Thing about neighbors like that, they eventually go away. I feel for the little ones that are innocent.

Yeah, unfortunately Utah's department of child welfare sucks. Royally. So they probably WON'T do anything about that poor child. What a sick world.
