NEED A CHANGE OF SCENERY...
This is where I am 9 hours a day, Monday thru Friday and sometimes Saturday.
I used to love cabinet design, but I don't know what that is anymore. I look through magazines and say, "Oh I used to do that" or "that's such a good idea I need to do that." Then I get to work and someone want one cabinet, or the famous, "please bid this as cheap as possible."
Is it the company or the market? The "dead market" I left in Boise doesn't even compare to what I deal with in Utah. No one cares about design or quality. They don't care if the cabinet is going to warp in 5 years, they don't care if it's made out of 3/8" material that no one has heard of. All they want is a good deal and there is no loyalty at all. Is it the lovely Utah house wife who spends all her day out there looking for the best deal possible and knocking people down while she is looking? I know I'm a little bitter about Utah, but this was a rare thing in Idaho and I hardly dealt with it. I'm tired of designing the same thing over and over and not doing anything in design. I feel like I'm losing what I have learned over the last few years and I feel like I'm getting less talented and it's going to be difficult to find a job anywhere. I've been out of commission for the last year working at my new job. So...I need a scenery change. I want customers that need help with designing and want my advice and my suggestions and who are willing to spend money on their dream kitchen. Does this exist in Utah??? I have to admit that it will be hard to find considering the Parade of Homes has been filled with crap cabinetry that looks awesome on the outside, but made of cheap material on the interior and all the houses look the same. Someone save me from this misery I call work!!!!
LOOK AT THAT HANDSOME MAN
Please come home soon, I miss your face. Look how cute this man is...seriously...come home.
This picture was taken at California Pizza and I want to go back there right now. Chipotle Chicken Pizza here I come!! mmmm yummy
GOODBYE MINI-HOLLY
We sent mini-Holly to a new home on Wednesday. It was a little bit sad. She was the last one to go so we got a lot more one on one time with her. She is so cute and little and absolutely frightened of that cardboard box. She is like Satan when the other dogs are around; always biting and pushing. So hopefully she is better with children.

Ha ha ha ha Honey! Welcome to life in the fast lane. One day your UP and the next your DOWN. I call it "Nigga Rich or Nigga Poe" Ain't no in between. I too need a change of scenery. thats what we call a "Weekend". Take the time on the weekend to think of everything but work. Then when your at woprk, think of ways to succeed and be the best you can be at what you do. The entire retail and wholesale complex is difficult at best right now. The only ones who are bying ar the cheapies. I talked to Richard VanOrden (electrician) the other day and he says this reminds himof the times when instead of wiring houses it got so slow that he was ending up fixing lamp cords to stay alive. It passed just like this weakness will pass. Stay focused at work, and give the man your best. You are the best so do your magic while at work and you will see good things of it.
Again , Utah sucks???!! Can I get an amen?
