So far, my stomach wants to eat itself. I'm also delusional. Why? Because Tom doesn't seem to be in as much pain and suffering as me. Last night he was his normal, chipper, obnoxious self. I, on the other hand, have turned into a bear. So I've convinced myself that Tom is cheating on our no/extremely-ridiculous-mean-low-carb diet. I know he's at work right now, stuffing his face with garlic bread, smothered in cheese, and dipping it in Alfredo sauce! (I know he's not, but I'd really like him to not be perfect about the eating deal, while I'm clearly suffering!)
I've been monitoring my food intake for awhile now. I've stopped drinking coffee, and almost completely cut out soda. That's been going pretty well, and it was really easy compared to this whole carb deal. Bottom line, I love Carbohydrates. Sandwiches, fruit, pasta, bread, bread, oh and did I mention bread.
Here I am, sitting at work, unable to concentrate, because my stomach is talking to me, trying to convince me to eat my Valentine's Day candy from my mother-in-law...which is conveniently in my purse...which is right next to my chair...taunting me.
On the bright side, I will be here in 7 days!

Loved your comments....don't you know that is an unwritten law....men usually don't gain weight as easily as women, and if by chance they should.....they also loose it much easier & faster than women, and they never....never suffer during the process like we women do, and then if they don't loose the amount they set out to, for some reason it's OK, and no one ever comments about their fat in a bathing suit........that is life....have fun on your trip, ......enjoy my little Bradyn for me. Hello to Tom.......Love ya Mary & Bud.....
You make me laugh ;) Good work by the way on your healthier lifestyle!!!
You're killing me with laughter. Keep up the good work.
PS.... boys always lose more and faster than girls.
Low carb diets are a quick way to lose weight. I did it several years ago and lost 40 pounds. The hard part is sticking to it because once you add starch carbs back into your diet, the weight comes right back. I do have a lifetime carbohydrate book that guides you how to eat for life, using those starch carbs in moderation. Let me know if you are interested and I can send you the name. You could get it from Amazon, or even Barnes and Noble. Don't give up! I plan on starting running in March, so there a huge hurdle for me!
Luv Ya!
