Hot Ears?

I finally caught my summer cold, it decided to visit a few months later than usual, but still made it's trip to my nose/throat.  I've been dealing with that all week, no big deal, it's just a cold.  However, my ears have been on fire the last couple days.  Yesterday I thought it was due to the ridiculous heat we've been having in Bellingham.  I'm talking 90 degree weather, which is insane for this area.  We're talking record heat for northwest Washington.  All you Idahoans laugh at 90 degrees, but let me explain this whole humidity deal is a pain in the neck!  Everything just sticks to you, the weather feels like it should read 300 degrees on the thermostat.  Not only is it miserable, no one is prepared for it.  Most places don't even have AC!  Who needs AC in Washington where it rains all time, right?  Anyway, I was sure the ridiculous heat was attributing to my red hot ears.  This morning they started burning up again, it's not nearly as hot outside.  In fact, I had a sweater on this morning because I was a little cold.  Ears, still on fire.

So I go to my trusty doctor...aka Google search...and type in "hot ears", simple as that.  This is what I get back as search results:

Anxiety and Stress Forum- Hot Ears & Face!
The little blurp underneath the title says, "Hot Ears And Face! . I was diagnosed with anxiety a few months ago. When I feel stressed, my ears get really hot, like a fever."
Next one down, "...sympathetic nervous system..." followed by "...food allergy..." and last one I glanced at was, "...Menopause..."

So comes handy the process of elimination.  Probably not menopause, I'm only a quarter century old here, come on.  Food allergy, humm maybe, but not likely.  I haven't eaten anything different than usual lately.  Sympathetic nervous system, getting closer now.  The one that makes most sense...stress...yes folks, that makes most sense.

Can I just say, I've always handled stress pretty well, or at least I thought I did before all the wedding mumbo jumbo.  Good thing is I only feel stressed every once in awhile, for the most part I'm enjoying it!  Every once in awhile when we're super busy at work and I'm ordering cabinets that I know will be installing the week I'm off, and when I'm trying to get bids done while ignoring phone calls from family members, caterers, or the wedding venue, etc.  That's when I feel the stress coming on.  So I apologize if I ignore your phone calls, it's not out of anger, I'm just really busy at work (which is wonderful) and I when I do have a free minute to myself (which is rare, very rare) I want to spend it alone, with me and the voices in my head.

So, here's to a fun wedding that's going to happen in 32 days whether we're prepared or not and  here's to no more hot ears!  (Yes, that's me holding up an imaginary champage flute full of dreams!)  Whelp, that's enough cheese for one post...back to the grind!

I can't see why your stressed. ;)

Just think how much free time you will have after the wedding. You won't know what to do.
