I finally decided it was time to go through all the boxes I brought home from my parents house last year. It was so fun to take a walk down memory lane. I collected jewelry boxes when I was younger, and it brought back so many fond memories each time I opened one of the boxes or drawers to find little treasures. I apparently liked to collect shiny rocks, there were quite a few in the boxes, stick-on nails, pencils, stationary, tons of jewelry from my Grandma Johnny (dad's mother) and my Grandma Andersen (mom's mother), and even some treasured items from my Great Grandfather Jones (mom's grandpa).
However, some of the favorite items I found were homemade items from my mom, so I took pictures to send to her before I packed them in our storage containers....part of our new garage organizing idea.

A box to add to my collection, handmade and hand painted. Mary Englebreit was big back then, as you can see.

This "Marissa" block has been around as long as I can remember. It was a staple in my bedroom decor until high school when I finally packed it away.

Same with this little gem, another homemade piece that has been around as long as I can remember. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them, but I'm keeping them forever. Tom accused me of being a pack rat, but these are things you can't get rid of!

I also remember you being the most sentimental child we have. You saved everything. I must be the same. Remember your art work from grade school and jr high and how I saved it all in the big portfolio envelopes? I guess the apple didn't fall to far from the tree. Thanks for sharing all this fun stuff
