Day 1- No Coffee

No Caffeine Day #1
I'm doing pretty good so far, although it's only 8:50 a.m.
I decided yesterday that I was tired of feeling tired.  While brainstorming ideas to keep myself motivated during the winter season, I realized I have a dependency for caffeine that could not be healthy in the slightest.  Not only am I packing on the negative calories from all the soda, energy drinks, and morning coffee, I'm also physically and emotionally addicted to these energy supplements.  How gross is that?  I started thinking how it would be ridiculous if I were unable to put down the caffeine for awhile, if I couldn't do it, then I really did/do have an addiction.
My morning White Mocha no whip has become a staple in my pre-work routine.  I drive up to the Woods Coffee window Monday-Friday and most the time I don't even have to give them my order, they have it ready when I pull up.  (I wonder if I threw them off this morning!)
There are approximately 350 calories in my White Mocha's that I have been drinking every morning for a couple years now.
For lunch I usually hit up a drive thru or run home, either way I have a Pepsi which is 100 calories, or a Monster energy drink.  Monster only has 20 calories, but I can only imagine what all the other ingredients are doing to my body.  Eek!  Calories are not my only concern though.  Getting back to the beginning of my ramblings, I'm tired of feeling tired.  I've become so dependent on the three daily doses of caffeine that by the end of my work day I'm too exhausted to do anything at night.  That means I get home, turn on the television, mess around on the internet (all while sitting on my lazy arse on the couch) and wait for Tom to come home.  Then Tom joins me!  Bah!  I fall in and out of sleep all evening until Tom finally gets me to go to bed.  I want to have more natural energy.  I'm hoping my switch over to water will help this happen.  So, around 1:00 this afternoon I will be 24 hours into my caffeine freeze!

Good for you Missy Moo! You can do it!!! I'm glad you're wise enough to recognize an addiction.
