16 days!

The countdown begins!  I know it's only been a couple months since I've seen my family, but it feels like forever.  Tom and I decided to drive to IF for Thanksgiving.  That's right, we're driving.  It's approximately 15 hours in the car, but Tom won the 'discussion' because if I had it my way (and an extra $1200) we would be flying!  Bellingham to Idaho Falls is such a ridiculous plane ticket, we usually fly Seattle to Boise and drive the rest of the way, but it ends up taking a full day anyway, so we might as well save some cash and make the trek in the good ol Ridgeline.   Bonus for the family, we're bringing the dogs too!

Not only am I super excited for Thanksgiving, but we're staying a few days afterwards so we can see....
'This production is the live-stage incarnation of the 1954 classic film and features all the music, spectacular dance, and holiday nostalgia...'
I haven't seen White Christmas before, so it's a first for me and I can't wait!  Even my brother is excited to go, so it must be a good show!

Another holiday favorite of mine that I have missed the last couple years is...
The Forgotten Carols is my most favorite holiday tradition.  The play is adorable and entertaining, the music is amazing, and the story is touching.  This is Tom's first year of seeing the performance, although he's been forced to listen to the album the last four years!

It should be a great Thanksgiving.  I can't wait to see my family, play with the nieces and little nephew, and relax for a few days before we head back to Washington!

We drive every time we go to SLC. It's about 13 hours for us and it's not bad really. I've come to like the drive and the time together. Luckily Jesse is amazing in the car. I know what it's like to be crying to see them 5 minutes after the last visit. I'm happy for you all. Much love to you and safe travels!!
