As most of you know, I have the GREATEST sister-in-law anyone could ask for. Today happens to be her birthday!
I have known Julie since I was a goofy looking child with frizzy hair and finger nails painted all different colors. She was friends with Tony and I always wanted to be just like her. Yes, that meant I was the annoying little sister who followed them around whenever Julie & her friends came over. She was awesome, every year she sent us individual postcards from Priest Lake. She had what I thought were the "coolest" pants ever and she helped with a pair of my own. They had multicolor stripes on the bottom and flared out really wide. Sounds awful, and they probably were, but they were great. She helped with school problems and projects. She ALWAYS brought goodies by the house...mmm brownies. Anyway, as a early teen my main goal was to be as cool as Julie.

Lucky for me she married my brother Tony! (Lucky for her too! Meaning Tony is a great guy and even though he has a hard time picking up after himself, he is a better catch than most guys out there.) I'll admit when they were first married I had a hard time because Tony was my best friend and all of a sudden there was this thing called a wife who he wanted to spend time with...what a concept, right? That only lasted about a week and oh how the tables turned.
Julie has since become one of my best friends. Not only is she a wonderful friend, she is a therapist, nutrition specialist, financial advisor, mother of sorts, and all around amazing woman. She is the mother of three gorgeous girls, and one extremely handsome little man. I've seen her being a mother in action not only with her kids, but also to me and my siblings. She is one of the most caring and loving people I've ever met. Really, if you haven't had the chance to meet her, you are missing out. Make a mental note that life is not complete unless you have met Julie and had some of her amazing cooking or baking.

Basically what I'm trying to say without rambling too much longer is that Julie has been a wonderful addition to my family and life. May 13th is her birthday and she deserves a day of full on rest, enjoyment, and down right being treated like a Queen.

Happy Birthday Jules!
I love you!

Julie has to be one of the best, nicest people I've ever met. I will NEVER forget how incredibly cool it was to have a cookie-sheet full of treats delivered to school for me to give to guys.... um hello? How cool was that?
And... a recipe box full of all of her culinary-goodness... I use it everyday and think about how I want to become more like her! In more ways than one!
Happy Birthday Julie... you are a bright spot in an often too-dark world!!!
Thanks for taking me in under your wing during some rough years. You are amazing!
(and, nicely said, Muffin)
Thanks, guys! Ed just climbed up on my lap and said, "Mommy, why are you cryin'? Did the computer hurt you?" What a great gift!
