Camping

We went camping at Diablo Lake last weekend...before the Memorial Day crowd. Weather was great, the dogs were better behaved than they are at home, and life was just relaxing...ah....

Have I mentioned before that Washington is the most beautiful state I've lived in? One of my favorite parts of driving around are the waterfalls...they are everywhere. Mostly just little guys dripping off the side of a mountain, but I love it!

"With this stick and my highly evolved brain, I will create FIRE!"

Champ wants to chase after anything...Holly is hating life. For some reason she is really prissy. She doesn't like to walk on wet grass, doesn't like dirt. She sat down like 3 times while we were camping and this picture caught one of them...the look on her face is total disgust. Hilarious.

We went for a little hike which was a lot of fun. My legs burned the next morning...not a good sign.

Yes, the little white blob on the top of this moss covered boulder is Tom. He and Champ went around the back and only Tom made it to the top. He tied Champ off on a tree at the bottom and by the time he got back down Champ had almost gotten himself untied. It would have been a disaster for all other animals if he had gotten loose. He's kind of a terror...and it's always on accident...poor guy.

Diablo Lake...Champ played in the water a little bit which was fun. Last water experience he was clinging to the side of a dock for dear life in about a foot of water. So this time was much better.

It was good to get out the house and town for the weekend. We totally relaxed, ate good food, and cooked smores all weekend. Perfect.
