Random Facts About ME!

So, the rules are:

1. I can stick my fist in my mouth. I usually do it around family for extra attention. If anyone has ever been to a Perez household you know it is necessary to be loud or have special talents for anyone to know you are there. Tom doesn't think it's as cool as I do.

2. I almost pass out before I sing any type of karaoke. I don't think anyone notices ever, but while they are all having a good time, I'm in my chair doing breathing exercises. It takes everything I have to walk up to the mic. But I have tons of fun when I'm up there after the first shaky verse!

3. I have a very short attention span & memory. It's hard for me to pay attention to anything. So remember, if you leave messages make sure they are short or I will probably delete it in the middle. If I tell you I'm going to do something and you don't see me write it down or put it in my phone, I will forget....not because I don't care, I just won't remember.

4. I'm afraid of the dark. I won't open my eyes once the lights are off in my house. If I have to pee in the middle of the night I'm SOL! If you promise you won't laugh, I will tell you the reason. If you are going to laugh just skip to fact #5. I'm afraid of the dark because I'm deathly afraid of ghosts, spirits, dead people, whatever you want to call them! This makes Tom laugh hysterically, but it's a true fear of mine.

5. I fell of the Fashion Wagon! I'm not so sure when it happened, but it did for sure. Every time we go shopping I say at least once, "I don't understand today's style" which makes me feel old. What makes it even worse is that I remember hearing my parents say that multiple times. It's true though, there is nothing flattering about the styles out there today. I don't understand why you would wear leggings and a skirt, or a maternity shirt when your not pregnant, or boots over your pants. I just don't get it, so I am officially off the wagon and proud of my sweaters, jeans and t-shirts.

6. I am very LOUD! Most people don't get to experience this wonderful, yet annoying, trait of mine. When I call Tony & Julie, they have been known to set the phone on the couch and sit across from it and still hear me. I often get told to quiet down, or lower it a couple notches, or shut up. (That's when I have been loud for long periods of time) Poor Tom had no idea what he was getting into, but the first time he was around my family, he got to experience true Marissa. This comes from growing up in a loud family and I like it.
