I feel like a mother

Another dog story...I promise I have a life besides the dogs (well maybe not).

So last night Champ was freaking out in his kennel. Both Tom and I are sick and the noise was driving me CRAZY. So I shoved a rope in his crate hoping he would be quiet long enough for me to get at least a little quiet time. We came upstairs awhile later and Champ was eating the rope. He eats everything and since ropes have become a great toy, he eats a lot of those. Well this rope was really long, but I still didn't care. So today I was walking the dogs so they could go potty before I took them back inside and I noticed that Champ kept trying to rub his butt on the ground. I looked at him and there it was...a piece of string covered in poop. Both Tom and I started laughing and I realized that the only way he was going to be happy was with that string out of his tush.

So I had to swallow my pride, take a couple breaths, trap Champ backwards so I could get close to his butt and with a bag over my hands I PULLED THE STRING OUT!!! (it was about 12" long too!) I never thought I would be pulling strings out of dogs bums ever in my life, but I love them and I didn't want him to scratch his butt on the concrete anymore. By the way...Champ was a happy camper after I got the string out! I'm sure there is more to come because he ate a lot of rope last night. Ugh... :)
