Critter, Ellory, Julie & Remington drove from Idaho Falls to Bellingham on Friday to see visit Tom and me! It was the longest day waiting for them, but they made pretty good time and pulled into town right in time for dinner.
We spent all of Saturday being touristy in the big city...Seattle!
First we went to Pikes Place Market and walked through all the little vendors. We of course stopped for the fish throwing. There was a guy on the corner playing guitar and singing some mexican song. So Remington and I danced for awhile and then tipped him.
We stopped at Red Robin for lunch. Tom found it hilarious that they drove all the way up here and we were eating at a regular food chain. But...Critter had never actually been to a Red Robin, so that was our excuse. In all honesty...Tom is the only one who likes fish, so we were all a little scared about the place he was planning on taking us to.
Our next stop was the aquarium. Remi kept saying, "Are we going to the emporium now?" meaning the aquarium. So Cute. We got to see them feed the octopus named Olive Oil. That was definitely the best part of the aquarium for me. It seemed to small all scrunched in the bottom and then when the lady stuck the stick of food down next to it, the octopus grabbed onto the stick and wouldn't let go! Ellory slept through most of the aquarium and Tom held her the whole time. I offered to take the adorable sleeping baby about every 10 minutes, but he would smile and say, "I don't think so."
We went to the Space Needle around 6ish and it was already dark out. All I have to say is WOW. It is absolutely amazing at night! The lights in the city are awesome and you can see their reflection in the water. Ah...I love Seattle.
Tom took us to dinner at Dicks...a Seattle staple as he puts it. We all had shakes and hamburgers. Dicks is actually the only hamburger that I like eating. Every once in awhile I will eat one Tom cooks on the BBQ, but that's it. I could seriously eat at Dicks every night.
We ended our tour/day at the Fremont Troll. Tom told Remington a big story about a troll who lives under a bridge and eats cars. He had her so involved in his little tale that she was afraid of the troll! Even when she saw it was a big ol rock, she was still a little frightened. Good job Tom.
It was a long, but fun day. Everyone was exhausted on the drive home. Tom was a great tour guide as usual!

Great times Missy. I'm glad they went to see you and Tom. Looks like you all had fun.
Mom and I look forward to the time we can come see you too. I don't think we'll be coming in March. Biz is really slow and we have some issues there that need to be resolved. But, can't wait until it gets better so we can go. Maybe this summer we can sneak over.
Ah, Seattle, former home of my family. Love the city. Always have, always will. Everyone looks great in your fam, by the way. Cutest kids, too.
