Our DISGUSTING Beagle, Holly

I have to start out saying...It's my own damn fault.
I had to work in Seattle this morning, so Tom and I slept in as long as possible without making me late. That meant the dogs were totally gypped on their morning walk, which is already a short one anyway. I ran them outside enough for Champ to go potty. Holly usually doesn't go in the morning because she is the weirdest dog. We were gone from 8 am until about 6:30 pm. Our dogs are usually great with holding their bladder until we get home, but poor Holly hasn't gone #2 in like 2 days.
This is what we came home to...
We opened the front door and walked into a wall of stench. Right away we knew that one of the dogs had gone potty in their crate. Tom wouldn't let me post the picture of her crate which was COVERED in 2-3 days of built up dog poop! What made the whole situation a million times worse was Holly's inability to stand for however many hours she was stuck in her "crappy" crate. So, basically she did #2 in her crate, sat in it, and smashed it all over her body & food.
(***Note*** Her legs are regularly white!)

After a really long bath and A LOT of scrubbing, I managed to get her pretty clean. In the mean time, Tom was downstairs scrubbing her crate. I still don't know how he did it without puking. He has washed his hands about 5 times and still feels disgusting....can you imagine how Holly felt all day?

Ed did his do in his Optimus Prime undies yesterday and I just threw them away. (Lots of tears.) Kids are easier than dogs. Skin vs. fur, their reasoning capabilities are better and they wear clothes, so the mess is usually pretty contained. Sorry you had a "crappy" day!
