We're Moving to Bellingham, WA

This is what Tom has been doing all night...making phone call after phone call to tell people the news!

Tom interviewed for a promotion October 3rd. The first week we anxiously awaited the phone call, but never heard a word. The end of second week he got a group email from Paul, the man who interviewed him, that said "...I look forward to talking to each of you individually..." so again we were excited, but still playing the waiting game. We didn't hear anything all week or the most of the next week. At this point in time we just want to hear an answer, yes or no. It's so hard being in limbo, you don't want to buy anything in large amounts "just in case." So last week Tom got an email that was addressed only to him that said, "...Alan and Bill are finalizing their decision..." or something along those lines. So then we were trying as hard as we could to 'read between the lines' on the email to figure out why it was only sent to him and if they sent the guy who got the job a different email...you get the picture. We still didn't hear anything at all last week. Tom did come home Friday with some really good news. He was so excited because he had been talking to one of his buddies up in Sumner, WA that also works for Moulding & Millwork who had also interviewed for the position and he let Tom know that the fact he hadn't heard anything was good news. He said he had received an email earlier in the week letting him know they had other plans for him, but he wasn't who they chose for the position. So Tom knew that he was still in the running!

So, this morning I get a call from Tom and he said, "Ready to move to Ferndale?" and I just ignored him because he has been prank calling me at work for the last two weeks asking me if I want to move to Ferndale. He's like the little boy who cried wolf. I could hear everyone in his office laughing at our conversation. He said again, "Really, are you ready to move to Washington?" and at this point I'm thinking that 1- he is serious, or 2- he is a jerk and it's not funny to mess with a girls emotions like that! He informed me that he was indeed serious about the job, and that Paul had called him this morning and offered him the position of Sales Manager of the largest soft woods mill in the WORLD!

When he got home, I had a glass of Champagne waiting for him and we had a tiny bit of a sit down while we drank our champagne and then it was off to phone calls and list making. Obviously I'm blogging because I had to share the news! We are so excited and can't wait to get up there and start this new chapter of our life! (And for anyone who cares, there are plenty of Medallion Cabinetry dealers in the area that I will have a job quick and I will definitely love it!!!)

As happy as we are for you, I'm kind of sad too, as we just barely met and now your moving on.
Best of luck always.
