Day 4
Favorite Night
As I was thinking about my favorite nights over the past few years, I couldn't narrow down just one that stuck out. Of course I love the night Tom proposed and I love late night discussions with the girls. Then I started thinking back to nights when I was younger, there is one in particular that we still talk about, so I figured that would be the perfect one!
My sister, Julisa, & I shared a room until I was in my teens. We would stay up in the middle of the night talking and laughing. We created our own night games. I got a call from Critter (that's Julisa's nickname from birth) one day telling me she made her boyfriend play the "Wake Up Game" which was one of our favorite games to play at night. We were both cracking up because it's so dumb, and only we remember the rules and it's too hard to explain all the rules to one person, so everyone else is awful at playing the game...totally our fault. It was made for sisters...who shared a room practically their entire childhood...tangent.
Moving on to favorite night...
You know how you tend to get giggly & giddy when it's really late? You've exhausted yourself with work and school, and you're just tired? Well, we were having one of those nights, especially my mom. If you know my mom, you understand she is an 'early to bed, early to rise' type of lady. So a late night with mom is always a treat. Crit & I no longer shared a room at this point, but we were all three upstairs in her room playing a game. I can't even remember what the game was, but there were cards and one of them was explaining something about how a hyena laughs. The cards were so stale, I'm sure the game was educational because my mom was into those types of games. We were all three cracking up at the game, and then Critter, with perfect comedic timing, said,
"Annette laughs like a hyena."
Completely capturing the monotone voice the cards would have if they could've come to life. As soon as the words slipped out of her mouth, the hysterics started. There was rolling on the floor laughter, followed by tears, followed by that dry-heave type laughing where you can't breathe...you know the type. Since that night, which was probably 10-12 years ago, anytime one of us says in a monotone voice, "Annette laughs like a hyena" we all three get a giddy grin on our face and start laughing.

Oh Yeah!!!! ha ha ha.. I love it!
I knew even before I started reading that this would be the night you were referring too. Every once in a while we need nights where we laugh hyterically!
