Busy Saturday!

Tom's family threw me a bridal shower in Tacoma this weekend and it was so much fun!  All his family members who live in the area came, even his aunt and cousins who live in Oregon!  I'm so excited to be joining the Soran family!

We had a "Wine & Cheese" shower.  Julie's brother in law took her shopping to help select the wines.  He did an amazing job because they were all delicious!  The color scheme was all black and white with damask accents everywhere.  The rooms were all decorated and looked absolutely perfect.  My shower was definitely fancier than the wedding will be.  I loved it!
The cake was not only gorgeous, but absolutely delicious!

Samralee is quite the baker, she made these cupcakes and I may not fit into my wedding dress because of them.  They are so yummy, the frosting is addicting!  Mmm....

We played a game called, "That's what she said!"
The guests had to answer questions about me and got prizes if they answered them correctly.  Julie gave me a sweatshirt that has TWSS on the front.  I wore it yesterday and I'm sure people thought I was crazy, but I love it!

My soon to be sisters!

The shower was amazing, I had so much fun visiting with family, opening gifts, and stuffing my face full of chocolate, cheese, and wine!  Thanks Julie for such an amazing shower, and thanks to my soon to be family for joining us!

After the shower Tom and I headed to Seattle for his employees engagement party.  They've been engaged for a couple months and are planning a wedding for August 2011.  Her parents threw a great party at their vacation home right on Alki Beach.  The view was absolutely amazing, the weather was perfect for an outdoor party, and the sunset was beautiful.
You can see Seattle downtown from the beach, I loved the view!

Then we decided to stay in Seattle for a few more hours to see a band from a kid I went to high school with.  They were playing at the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Seattle.  I thought they were playing at 10:00, turned out they didn't go on stage until 12:30.  Tom wanted to head home pretty bad, it had already been a long day, but I wanted to support a friend from IF, so he stayed up with me!  We even got Bolt to come out and join us, that ended up cheering Tom up.  :)  So my friend Sam is in a band called The Sammus Theory.  Afterwards we got to talk to Sam for awhile and he even signed a cd for us!  It's always exciting seeing someone from the past, especially up here!

The band interacting with the crowd!  So fun!
My body still aches from jumping and dancing around like a fool all night, but it was worth it!

I passed out in the car on the way home because I was totally exhausted after such a long day!  Tom was such a trooper to drive me all the way back to Bellingham that night.  We pulled in around 4 a.m. Sunday morning.  Needless to say, it was a great Saturday and a sleepy Sunday!
