Invitations

I'm so excited to finally have invitations sorted out!
I joined a local networking group called Whatcom Young Professionals.  We meet every Thursday morning at Woods Coffee, another local spot, and do a 'meet & greet' and introduce ourselves and our companies to the group.  It's a good way to meet people and hopefully get business referrals.  It's fun to miss a little work time to chat with people, especially since I hardly know anyone in Bellingham.  Believe it or not, I'm a little shy when it comes to meeting new people....

Anyway, I met a girl named Kerri who makes custom stationery including wedding invitations, special events, parties, etc.  I figured it couldn't hurt meeting with her to see what it all entailed.  We set up a meeting at Woods Coffee, the same one we "network" at once a week.  We started off looking through her portfolio at different invitation samples from basic to very intricate and gorgeous items.  I found a couple different samples I was interested in and we moved on to colors and paper style.  I was having a lot of fun thinking of the possibilities, but also afraid it was going to be out of my price range.  She asked about the details of the wedding, what my colors were and what my dress looked like.  I know she was trying to get information about what style and design would fit our venue/wedding/personalities, but it was so fun to have someone with an unbiased opinion to chat with for an hour.  She also mentioned there were a few funky new fonts she wanted to try out and hasn't had the opportunity yet, so hopefully we will get to try one out!  Anything to keep it casual and non-traditional!

I was pleasantly surprised after receiving the estimate options!  We ended up going with such a fun casual invitation that is still unique.  We haven't gone over the design part, but I hope she has a couple things in mind especially after seeing all the cool stuff she came up with on her website!  I can now check invitations off my to-do list and move on to the next item without any worries!

You guys should take a look at her website to see a few of the awesome invitations.
