It finally happened...for the longest time I have been against selling anything but Medallion Cabinetry. No line has ever compared enough to be worth selling and I have a hard time convincing a customer they are putting great product in their house if it's really crap from China. So we found this line that was willing to give our company a credit line (huge mistake for them since this morning I was told if I didn't cash my check today it probably won't go through for another couple of weeks...so off to the bank I went). The company requires at least one designer participate in training before we can sell the product. So four people including me went down to Vancouver, Washington. Turns out the line is great! I still think Medallion is better, but I have a feeling this company will become my second favorite! I've been to a lot of trainings and this guy did the best one! He was energetic, knowledgeable, and funny! I didn't fall asleep once! After our class he took a picture of the whole group and sent it to us. There were people from all over including New York, so it was fun to find out what styles and products they use while designing. Yes, I'm a nerd.

I also go to spend a little bit of time with Steve, Allie & Jesse Fontenot. (Allie, I totally stole this picture! Steve, sorry you weren't in it!) They moved up to Oregon this last year, so it had been awhile since I'd seen them. Jesse the little trooper just got over a battle with cancer...he also just finished up with first grade! He has always been enthusiastic about EVERYTHING and has a great energy. Jesse also gives the best hugs out of anyone else I know! It was so fun to see them and relax for a bit from the cabinet training. If you want to read about his journey through beating cancer take a look at his website.
